Brittany Bivens Artist Bio

Combining her love of plants and textiles, artist Brittany Bivens uses her roommates as her muse in this recent art series.

However - these aren’t your typical roommates, as they just happen to be plants, some in-door, and some out-door.

This Maui based self-taught painter has been making art for as long as she can remember. She works predominantly with acrylic paint on canvas, bringing texture to her abstract backgrounds and rich color to her more realistic subjects. Her inspiration always comes from nature and in this series there is a particular influence of Polynesian patterns.

This duo pairs so well together you immediately feel comfortable, just like the perfect roommate.
