Tuning In

Ever find yourself lost in the abyss of social media?
With no intention or recollection of how you even got there-
But, there you are.
Giving yourself arthritis and an overdose of electromagnetic radiation.
Just scrolling away.

Not even knowing what you’re looking at-
It’s just muscle memory now.
Our eyes are constantly being fed images.
Screens. Pictures. Videos. Ads.
Images everywhere.

Occasionally you’ll hit a brief moment of clarity realizing:
there are so many more productive things I could be doing with my time…

So you hide your phone. Or turn on the famous Do Not Disturb.
But you can’t escape the grasp of technology forever-
No, you need it for work, communication, and even basic life tools.
(Waking up early without an alarm is not my forte.)
At the end of the day, it’s amazing to see how connected our world is with technology, yet how absolutely isolating and disconnected we have become.

Hobbies and skills are replaced with senseless scrolling.
Conversations are masked with a screen.
Our motivation is influenced by hearts and likes.

I believe we gain more power to act out our most authentic aspirations when we are aligned with our truest intentions and the destination in which we are heading.

So tune into yourself:
What do you want to create?
What do you want to learn?
What do you want to share?
Then do it. There’s no trying, just doing.*

When you share from the heart, be prepared.
Imposter syndrome is always one step behind you.
But, as soon as gumption steps in – you can’t be defeated.

You do you boo, you do you.

What I’m looking for is not out there, it is in me.”

”there’s not trying, just doing” when she saw me holding back and not reaching my potential.
